What do you think of Brody Condon's work?
I'm curious to hear what you think of Brody Condon's work. Unlike other artists we've recently looked at, I don't think his work is as utopian or social justice oriented. I think he is more interested in public performance and identity in a collective context. Thoughts?

This project is interesting because it is taking something from the past and setting characters as if they are attending the seminar and doing what was done in the 1970's. It seems like it would be forgotten about but it does seem odd to go to a conference to find yourself or to be told who you are and how to figure that out in a weekend.
ReplyDeleteIt kinda reminds me of all these ridiculous seminars I was forced to go to at school in my 12 years of catholic education.
