Since we won't have class tomorrow and won't have the discussion I have been looking forward to, I'd like to ask you to take this forum here (the blog) even more seriously as a space to share, explore, discuss, and explore your ideas and reactions to the film and articles.
Also, please email me (and if you would like, post here too) your proposal for the "event assignment". It might be a good idea for you to post your proposal here as well so you can get help, feedback, and perhaps spark some collaboration.
Also, here's a video that briefly highlights one woman's perspective on why the relationship between art (in her case, theater) and social change. Lynn Nottage has done a lot of interesting work and I thought you might be interested in learning more about her. Here's just a little clip:
