Will a female finally win the Oscar for Best Director?

The nominations for this year's Academy Awards are in and as expected Director Katherine Bigelow has been nominated for The Hurt Locker. Competing for the Oscar against four other men, including her ex-husband James Cameron, Bigelow has what many believe is the best shot ever at becoming the first female director to win the Oscar in its 82 year history.
